My Morning and Evening Routines

The first thing I do when I get up is to wash my face. I am now using Quantum Botanika cleansing balm. It’s a natural product which leaves my skin like silk before I apply anything else. You can also mix it with Quantum Botanika’s Detox Serum to create a very effective mask.

I alternate creams so that I don’t use the same every day. If I am not using Quantum Botanika, I use Dr Jackson’s creams and oils. Like all the creams I use, Dr Jackson uses only natural ingredients. All their products are petroleum-free. I avoid creams with SPF protection because I dislike putting aluminium on my skin. I prefer to wear a hat or stay out of the sun!

Next, I make myself a mug of hot water into which I squeeze a half lemon. I don’t eat first thing as I am always heading either to the gym or to the yoga studio.

After exercising, I try to eat within 45 minutes of finishing exercise. My typical breakfast varies – it might be porridge with a bit of Manuka honey, a croissant, fresh fruit, or a yoghurt.

Unless I have a meeting with a client or an event, I avoid putting on any makeup during the day. I will be made up if I go out in the evening but won’t bother if I am working from home or the office. If I have been using heavy make-up, I use Shu Uemura oil to remove it. If I am only wearing light make-up, I use the same products I use in the morning. I then apply Dr Jackson night cream. 

Never, ever, go to bed without ensuring that you have removed all your make-up.
